With its bold lettered overlays and bulky look that’s quintessential ’90s Nike Basketball, the resurgent Air More Uptempo has enjoyed a spate of releases both classic and collaborative over the past few years. Now, it’s back again with a new method of embellishment that masterfully plays up its most noticeable design detail: a camo pattern on the aforementioned blocky letters. Done up in a traditional woodland print and outlined by white borders, the tremendous text offers a loud contrast with the pebbled black leather background provided by the upper. Light tan laces add a small-but-welcome hit of extra contrast, and a black midsole/outsole encases a translucent full-foot Air Max cushioning unit to complete the look. These combat-ready Uptempos will release on June 19th for $170 USD at retailers like Foot Locker or Stock X, so check out a set of images while you ready yourself for their arrival.
Although the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 and adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 have both released in a plethora of colorways since the line debuted in 2015, an all-black version of the Yeezy 350 hadn’t been seen since that same year’s “Pirate Black” drop. However, that four-year drought is now set to come to an end, as the Yeezy 350 v2 will release in a black makeup on June 22nd. While the monochromatic look is intentionally simple, there’s still plenty of interesting details present. The translucent midfoot stripe that’s proliferated through the ranks of the 350 as of late stands out from the rest of the upper due to its tightly-knit texture, and a single thin line of red stitching reaches across the heel tab for a clever nod to the original “Pirate Black” colorway. High-vis reflective material is woven into the laces/doused across the Three Stripes graphic on the sockliner, and a semi-translucent black midsole packed full of Boost cushioning completes the look. As mentioned above, these simple-yet-effective adidas Yeezys are scheduled for a June 22nd release date. They’ll also be priced at the silhouette’s standard $220 MSRP. After introducing the PG 3 model in a colorway inspired by NASA’s Armstrong building, the Swoosh and NASA are back together once again with another clean color scheme honring the 50th anniversary of the iconic Moon Landing. Dressed in a clean combination of White and Metallic Gold with an icy blue outsole, this hoops-ready creation comes equipped with an “Apollo Missions” monicker and serves as a nod to the Apollo 11 flight crew. Keeping with the rest of the celestial collection, NASA branding comes featured on this PG 3’s insoles and its left heel, while a sewn-on American flag flanks that crest on its right-footed counterpart. Completed by PG branding on its tongue and shimmering midsole Swoosh, you can expect the NASA x Nike PG 3 “Apollo Missions” to touch down at retailers May 18th with a retail price of $120.
